Earth Magnets

Earth Day is a time to celebrate and share in the joy of all things related to nature.  To help us keep this frame of mind all year round, we decided to make Earth shaped magnets that we can stick on the refrigerator.  I wanted to use some leftover bleeding tissue paper that we had from coloring eggs, so I found some paper plates and a water bottle to begin our project.  You managed to place some tissue paper on the trimmed plates, but mostly wanted to "squirt" the water at all times!

After they dried, we peeled off the tissue paper. The coloring wasn't as dark as I would have like, so we decided to leave the paper on the other two and cover them with contact paper.  We glued a couple of magnets on the back and placed them on the refrigerator!  A beautiful reminder of the Earth each and every day!
