Since we were making a special Easter lunch today, we called Daddy from work and asked him to come join us for an outdoor picnic! I came across this cute sushi recipe that was featured in an online magazine called Simply the Sweet Life and had to try it. This was my first attempt at sushi, but I gave it a whirl. I shredded carrots and cucumbers to put inside the little baskets and then used cucumber peel for the handle. In addition to the baskets, I found another great idea on JDaniel4's Mom blog for an Easter inspired grilled cheese sandwich. She shredded carrots and added them to the cheese, then used a bunny cookie cutter to make an indentation for fun! Both recipes were very yummy and we were so excited to be sharing them outside with Daddy!
| Sigh. You don't always appreciate the presentation, but you definitely enjoy the taste! |
