Outdoor Tea Party

Easter is upon us and we wanted to do something special for the important women in our lives.  I was browsing through a magazine a few weeks ago and came upon an article that explained how to set up and prepare a proper tea party. Once I saw that, I knew it was the perfect idea to plan for your special ladies.  Mama decided on a simple craft and a few delicious recipes to prepare for the big day and we got started!

We began with individual flower pots.  You painted them with beautiful spring colors using a small sponge.  After they dried, you and Daddy planted petunias in each for the Grandmas to take home and put on their windowsills.   They looked lovely on the tables while we ate.

After the flowers were watered, we entered the kitchen and began to whip up our finger foods!  We wanted to add sweet and savory items to our menu for everyone to enjoy, so we made sandwiches and desserts.  Here are a couple of moments from the kitchen.

Pretty soon it was time for everyone to arrive.  We got the table set up just in time!  It looked delightful on this perfect spring afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the extra special touches that you added to our outdoor event!
