Spring Inspired Footprint Paintings

I couldn't wait to get the paint out for these fun prints!  I was searching through Pinterest, AGAIN, and came across several fun ideas for footprint and handprint art.  We sifted through all of the possibilities and decided to try a spring inspired montage of designs.  We started with a beautiful butterfly that I saw on Project Balancing Act , moved on to a robin from Sweet and Simple Things, and finally printed a colorful flower that was featured on Learning as We Grow. You sat on your plastic chair and quietly let Mama and Aunt Debby sponge paint the shimmering colors on to your foot. You were such a sport!  You held the (sealed) paint bottles to keep you busy in between prints. You kept wanting to do more. They were so much fun to do and they turned out so adorable!

We put your footprints for the body and my thumbprints for the antennae.

The beginning of the robin.

Here's where you took a detour and decided to make your own creation!!
You had fun making a mess!

The completed robins!

The start of the flowers.

They look good enough to smell with your handprints on top.

You must have decided that the quality was what you were looking for!

  1. Beautiful! I love the artist documenting his work. I need to try some of these. My little guy has really big feet, so I don't know if they will look as cute.

    1. Thanks so much! Sometimes he just cracks me up with his camera! I bet they would look cute, no matter the size. You would just have more color added to yours. :)
