All Year Round: The Four Seasons Discovery Bottles

The Spring Edition of the All Year Round Blog Carnival is quickly coming to a close.  Summer is just around the corner, so our quarterly collection of links will be rotating to a new season on May 15th.  Before we wrap up Spring, I wanted to share a wonderful idea that was linked up by Sun Hats and Wellie Boots that can be pulled out at any time during the year for some discovery fun!

My son loves to shake anything that makes noise!  I think he's on the fast track to becoming a musician.  When I saw these discovery bottles that represented each of the four seasons, I knew he would enjoy them!

 

Each discovery bottle contains a base filler that embodies the colors and feel for each season.  Along with the filler, Sun Hats and Wellie Boots also mixed in a few creative "extras" that add flair and fun to all four bottles. 

When I began getting the materials needed to make a set of these bottles, I knew we were about to go out of town.  So, in an effort to conserve space, I used little travel bottles that you use to put shampoo or lotion in for trips.  Since these were smaller, I didn't use as many add-ins, but the essence of the idea still shined through.  We broke them out on the second evening of our trip after sight-seeing and you had a blast!
