Find a Fish
Thankfully the rain held off tonight, so we were able to include Daddy in our backyard game of the day. This evening we decided to try out a new game called Find a Fish. All we needed were a few colorful fish that were cut out of construction paper and a basket to collect them in. Mommy hid them while you finished your dinner and then we all went outside on a fish hunt! It was so fun participating in this game as a family!

This looks like a fun game! My twinkies would love it ♥ Do you suggest laminating or do they hold up pretty good without???
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun game for the little one. :) The fish held up fine for the quick game we played. However, he spotted them in the living room today and played so much with them they got a bit crunched! Laminating them would probably be your best bet if you wanted to try it more than once. :)
DeleteFun! You really could do this with anything, couldn't you? We've done it with rabbits in the past, but your fish have got me thinking about doing this as a party game for an under-the-sea party. Thanks for sharing at the Outdoor Play Party!
ReplyDeleteYes! Any shape or item would do. :) Oh, and under the sea theme sounds like fun! Our little guy has a birthday in August and I'm already trying to come up with his theme!
DeleteThis is great because it's so versatile. I just repinned it from someone else and I can't wait to incorporate it into my four-year-old's preschool fish theme this week. I'm going to toss some of our reading words this week on the fish and have him tell me what he caught. My toddler daughter will be able to help catch some fishies too, which will be fun for both of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alicia! My little guy enjoyed searching for them. I'll have to add some words or letters to them when he gets a bit older. I hope your little ones have fun. :)
