For our Night and Day Sensory Tray, I went in search of something new for a "black as night" base. I found black aquarium rocks in the pet store and thought that you would love them, based on your affinity for collecting rocks. I'm so lucky that you never put any of the play items in your mouth, but I always keep a close eye on you, just in case! Here's a list of everything that was included:
~ black aquarium rock
~ sand and rice
~ plastic moon and stars
~ flower erasers
~ cotton (clouds)
~ a yellow squish ball (sun)
~ bugs that come out in the daytime and nighttime
I added a few scoops and various cups, and let you have some fun!
Scooping
Sorting
Playing with "Night"
Then the "Day"
After we had some fun with our Day and Night Tray, we moved on to create some cloud dough...or "Moon Sand" in this activity! I found a simple and easy recipe on Learn with Play @ Home and have been wanting to try it for some while! I added some of the plastic stars and moon and you dug right in - you loved feeling the sand in your feet!
