What are a few of the words that enter your mind when you think of happiness? For some it could bring forth words that have a deep meaning like family, friends, or even peace. Others may think of their everyday moments of joy like when they have their first cup of coffee in the morning, the sunrise, or a warm shower. The possibilities are endless. There are so many ways that people experience happiness each and every day. It could be that happiness is found the instant you turn on the radio and hear your favorite song blaring through the speakers or the moment you walk through the door to smell fresh cookies baking in the oven. A smile can spread across your face for a thousand different reasons at any time throughout the day.
That is exactly what Kellie from 1000 Homes of Happiness is trying to do. Put a smile on the face of those that stumble upon her family's beautiful origami homes. These homes are placed by Kellie and her three beautiful girls at some of their favorite places to visit or those that they deem worthy. Each of these homes have a special word displayed on the front that represent a memory, feeling, or joyful experience. This week, my family and I have had the pleasure of releasing a tiny home stamped with the word NOSTALGIA on it, in hopes that someone else will find it and smile.
Day 63
Duration: 30 minutes
When we talked to your grandfather about his favorite memories as a child, one of the first things that popped into his head was baseball. As a little boy, he was a part of a team that was coached by his father and played on a small field that lies just a short walk from our house. We decided to head down to that same field so that Grandpap could share a little piece of his childhood with you...a little piece of nostalgia.
~ Thanks so much to Kellie and her happy little team for letting us participate in 1000 Homes of Happiness!
