Our Memorable Moments Outside {Days 113-119}

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time." ~ John Lubbock

{Favorite of the Week} This week has been a very busy one for us.  Luckily, however, we did find some time to relax and spend some time together outdoors.  Earlier this week, I spotted this yummy idea for Nilla-Nanna Sandwiches on Pinterest and thought that it would be perfect for your little hands and (always) hungry belly.

We made our own variation of the sandwich and then you, my little man, decided to create your own treat in the end.  All we needed for this snack was mini-Nilla wafers, a banana, peanut butter, and a plastic knife.

This is your first experience slicing...you thought it was so cool!

After slicing the bananas, you smeared peanut butter on each Nilla wafer.

This was how you wanted your sandwich to look.  This was also the one and only that had banana on it.  You decided peanut butter was just enough and easier to create!

It was so cute to watch you pass out each sandwich, as soon as it was finished, to each member of the family.

Of course, more than one made it into your mouth, too!

Grandpap was getting ready to do some work in the yard, and you couldn't resist giving the backhoe a test ride. (OK, you weren't really driving it and we were right next to you.)
