Monday's {Mini} Family Adventure - Childhood Photos

Inspired by one of Mama Scout's Monday Missions to Start an Adventure Fund ~ a fun way to bring magic into our week. We save up our loose change for seven days and turn it into a fun family adventure to celebrate Mondays!

As part of a Creative Challenge for Mama Scout's eCourse, she asked us to share some of our favorite childhood stories with our children.  I thought the best way to do that with you was to share some photos as well, since you love looking through photo albums whenever you have the opportunity!  With the spare change we collected this week, I went out and bought a small album that we could use for this project.  I shuffled through some pictures that were stored away and picked out a few of my favorites from childhood.

Some of the pictures that I included were from Sunday dinners with the family, holiday celebrations, family picnics, and when Mama was a dancer -just to name a few.  Before you went to bed tonight, we looked at the pictures together and I told you about each one.  You even helped me put them in the album so that we can revisit them anytime!  We saved some room in the album for pictures of Daddy when he was little and we'll add them in the future (they're still packed up in boxes at our old house).

After you are asleep tonight, I'll take them back out and write a short note on the back of them describing what was happening and why those moments were so special to Mama.  I can't wait to share more stories with you about my childhood and listen when Daddy shares his!

Thank you so much for stopping by! If you enjoyed this post, please join us on Facebook. You can even explore our boards on Pinterest if you are looking for more inspiration for play with natural elements, learning, and nurturing little global citizens of the world.
