Monday's {Mini} Family Adventure ~ The Pleasantest Thing

Hello! Connecting Family and Seoul is one of my favorite websites, and I am very excited to be posting our Monday {Mini} Family Adventure with you!

Inspired by one of Mama Scout's Monday Missions to Start an Adventure Fund ~ a fun way to bring magic into our week. We save up our loose change for seven days and turn it into a fun family adventure to celebrate Mondays!

While browsing at a local farmer's market, we found a dried cob of popping corn. It was only 75 cents, making it an inexpensive, but very exciting, snack. I asked at the register to find out the best way to pop the corn, and they had no idea! My almost 5 year old could hardly contain himself on the walk home, he was so curious about how the hard, wrinkly, dark cob would transform into delicious, white, fluffy popcorn. A quick google search told me to put the cob into a plan paper bag, fold it a few times, and put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes, until the corn stops popping. We followed the directions (in our microwave, 3 minutes was the perfect popping time), and were rewarded with yummy popcorn! I drizzled melted butter and a dash of salt, and we sat down to enjoy a family movie playing on tv and eat our popcorn!

  4. Oh my goodness! I didn't even know you can buy popping corn still on the cob! My family loves popcorn, I'm on a mission to find some now! I wonder if you can pop it on the stovetop, we don't have a microwave...
