A Summer Full of Nature and Play

We've been waiting for summer.  Wishing it into existence.  This winter was long and bitterly cold. Hindering even.  As soon as the warm weather began to break, we shed our coats and scarves, bound outside with enthusiasm, and gladly enjoyed the warmth almost every day since it arrived.

For us, summer is freeing.  Being surrounded in the beauty of nature is not only comforting, but it breathes energy into our bodies and allows us the freedom to explore and become more playful.  That's what summer is all about.  Playing.

Playing with your family.  Playfully enjoying the fresh fruits and vegetables from the Farmer's Market picnic-style in the backyard.  Soaking up every playful moment from the time the sun begins to shine until the last flicker of a lightning bug signals the end of the day.

As we get deeper into the depths of summer, all of us could use a bit of help keeping our children active and the entire family connected with each other. If making the most out of this summer is one of your intentions for the season, I am excited to share with your two wonderful opportunities that I am honored to be a part of.

The first is for all you nature lovers out there!  The Natural Nester has created an amazing At-Home Summer Nature Camp eCurriculum!  In this curriculum, you will receive 8 weeks of kid-friendly lessons, outdoor activities, indoor projects, arts & crafts, recipes, field trip ideas, book & media suggestions, and more in a full-color PDF file that you can read on your computer screen or tablet, or print out!
